THE FORGE SERIES
The Forge Series is Ascendry Group’s foundational leadership development program. It is designed to give your leaders a strong standardized leadership methodology across your company. It is a great start for emerging leaders and front-line managers.
The Forge Series Teaching Methodology
The Forge Series is built around a simple belief:
Leaders are not developed by information alone.
Leaders are formed through structure, practice, reflection, pressure, and application.
Many leadership programs teach concepts. The Forge Series teaches leaders how to use those concepts when the work gets hard.
Our methodology is designed to create standardized leadership practices for your company.
It is a great start for your emerging leaders, team leads, supervisors and newly promoted managers who are making the shift from being strong individual contributors to becoming responsible for the performance, trust, and alignment of a team.
-
The Forge Series starts where many companies feel the greatest strain: the transition from operator to leader.
Most frontline leaders are promoted because they are dependable, technically skilled, and respected by others. But leadership requires a different set of behaviors. The person who was once measured by their own performance is now responsible for communication, accountability, trust, conflict, decision-making, and team performance.
The Forge Series helps participants understand that shift, name the pressure that comes with it, and develop the tools needed to lead with greater confidence and consistency.
-
Every Forge session is designed to move from concept to application.
Participants are introduced to a leadership principle, connect it to real workplace situations, practice using a simple tool or framework, and identify how they will apply it on the job. The goal is not to impress participants with complicated leadership language. The goal is to give them something they can actually use when they return to their team.
The Forge Series emphasizes clear, practical leadership behaviors such as:
Communicating expectations
Building trust
Creating team alignment
Giving and receiving feedback
Addressing accountability gaps
Responding under pressure
Leading through uncertainty
Reflecting on leadership identity
-
Leadership is easy to talk about when everything is calm. The real test comes when there is conflict, stress, confusion, change, or performance pressure.
That is why the Forge Series is built around pressure-based learning.
Participants do not just learn what good leadership looks like. They examine how leaders behave when the moment gets uncomfortable. They practice slowing down, communicating clearly, making better decisions, and staying grounded when the pressure rises.
This helps leaders move from reactive leadership to intentional leadership.
-
The Forge Series does not treat leadership as a title. It treats leadership as an identity that must be developed over time.
Throughout the program, participants are asked to reflect on how they currently lead, where they feel pressure, what habits help or hurt them, and what kind of leader their team needs them to become.
This reflection matters because lasting behavior change does not come from memorizing leadership terms. It comes from helping leaders connect who they are becoming with how they show up each day.
-
Each session gives participants practical tools they can take back to the workplace. These tools are simple by design. They are built to be remembered, practiced, and repeated.
The Forge Series gives leaders a shared language for communication, trust, alignment, adaptability, pressure management, and performance. This creates consistency across teams and helps organizations move away from leadership by personality and toward leadership by practice.
-
The Forge Series is not designed to stay in the classroom.
Participants are encouraged to apply what they learn between sessions through workplace reflection, leadership challenges, discussion prompts, and real examples from their own teams. This helps connect the training to the actual environment where leadership happens.
The result is a stronger transfer from learning to behavior.
-
Forge sessions are interactive, conversational, and grounded in real workplace experience. Participants are not treated as passive students. They are invited to think, discuss, practice, and reflect.
The facilitator’s role is to guide the room, connect the material to the participants’ daily leadership challenges, and help each person understand how the lesson applies to their role.
This creates an environment where leaders can be honest about the pressure they face and practical about the changes they need to make.
-
The Forge Series gives organizations a structured way to develop emerging leaders instead of leaving them to figure leadership out by trial and error.
When leaders share the same language, tools, and expectations, communication improves. Accountability becomes more consistent. Teams gain clearer direction. Managers spend less time correcting preventable leadership issues. The organization begins building a stronger leadership bench from the front line up.
The Outcome
The Forge Series teaching methodology helps companies turn strong employees into more capable leaders.
Participants leave with more than leadership ideas. They leave with practical tools, clearer self-awareness, and a stronger understanding of how to lead people through real workplace challenges.
The result is a more confident, consistent, and pressure-ready frontline leadership team.
